Steklov Mathematical Institue of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Lomonosov Moscow State University are holding a conference titled "Approximation Theory" and dedicated to the 90-th anniversary of the birth of Sergey Borisovich Stechkin (1920–1995).

The conference will be held at the Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow, Gubkin st., 8) on 23—26 August 2010. Arrival day is August 22, departure is August 27.
